The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Row Houses Block! You will need to print out one copy of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You will also need one 4-1/2" SKY square. Fat quarters will be fine!

After your units are paper pieced, lay them out as shown at left. Sew two Unit 1 roof units and one sky square together to be Row 1. Sew two Unit 2's to two Unit 3's to make the second stories of the tall house. Sew these to the third Unit 1 roof unit to Make Row 2. Sew three Unit 4 door units to three Unit 2's to make the bottom stories of all three houses. Sew these together in a row to make Row 3. Join the rows and you are done!

You might then like to embroider on window sashings, curtains, doorknobs, window boxes...or other embellishments of your choosing! Have fun with this!!

No quilt to show for this one either, as it's best used in perhaps a quilt with a variety of other house/town type blocks! Stay Tuned!

Happy Quilting All!
