Now make two units in this order: Color 2  1-1/2" square sewn to Color 4  1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangle sewn to Color 2  1-1/2" square. Press to dark side and then add a Color 4  1-1/2" x 5-1/2" rectangle to each. These are Unit D...

 

 

Then make two units in this order: Color 3  1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangle sewn to Color 4  1-1/2" square sewn to Color 3  1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangle. These are Unit C...

 

 

Next sew two units in this order: Color 3  1-1/2" square sewn to Color 4  1-1/2" square sewn to Color 3  1-1/2" square. These are Unit B...

 

Now line up Color 4 1-1/2" square right sides together with the corners of the Color 1  3-1/2" square. On the backs of the Color 4 squares lightly draw a diagonal line. Stitch ON these drawn lines. Cut off the excess leaving a 1/4" seam allowance. Press the seams towards the center. This is Unit A...
 

Sew a Unit B to the left and right of Unit A, pressing to outside. Add a Unit C to the top and bottom, pressing to the outside...on to Page 3!
