This makes a 9" block and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Rooftop Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters will be ample!

After your units are paper pieced lay them all out as shown at left. Sew the top five units together to form the top half of the block. Sew the two window sections together, then add the roof to the top of that. Sew the left hand lower sky/chimney unit to the left of the windows unit. Done! :o) 

No quilt to show, but this will go well with other Holiday themed blocks!
