This makes a 6" block, and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Rolling Stone! You will need to print out one copy of  the center unit, and four copies of each of the other units needed per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric should be plenty!

When you have your units all pieced, join them as shown at left...first making rows, and then joining the rows to make the block! Alternate pressing directions as you go!

The quilt, if done in muted colors as I show it here, would have a very antique-y look to it...or very geometric, if done in bolder colors!

Happy Quilting Folks!
