 Now carefully lay out all your squares and half squares as shown at left. Sew the eight horizontal rows, using a scant 1/4" seam. Press rows in alternating directions. Join the rows to make the block!

 The quilt is four blocks by five, with a pieced border made of extra squares and half squares.
