FQ's will be fin for this!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try an Open Boxes Block! You will need to print out two copies of the template pages per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You will also need four 2-1/2" corner squares in your main fabric.

After your units are paper pieced, sew together the two center units. Sew corner squares to two of the side units. Sew the two side units without squares to the sides of the center unit, then add the remaining two side units to the top and bottom.

Here, shown on its side,  is a quilt with four Open Boxes blocks by five, with triple borders!

Happy Quilting!
