Nine Patch Frame - Page 2

Sew a small Color 3 triangle to the top right and bottom left of each corner piece, using SCANT 1/4"seams. Press seam allowances towards the corner unit. Make four nits like this...

Then sew a large Color 3 triangle to each side of the center square, again using 1/4" seams. Press the top and bottom seams towards the square, and the other two seams towards the triangles...

Now sew the short side of a trapezoid unit to two opposing sides of the center unit, stopping and starting 1/4" from the end of the seam line. Piece in the other two traps, by sewing from the outer edge in to the 1/4 point, and keeping the needle down, pivot the block to sew along the center square side, then pivoting again at the edge of the square, and sewing to the outer edge of the trap. Repeat this with the opposing side's trapezoid...

Now you can piece the block, by sewing the four previously made corner units to the center unit!

Good Job!! :o)  ...on to Page 3!
