NOT Your Mother's Turtle! - Page 2

The quilt is made with thirteen N.Y.M.T! blocks, each of which has added corner triangles to form larger squares. Black sashing strips are then added, and then these are set on point with corner and setting triangles. 

Now as to why the odd block name?? Once I started seeing the center of this block as looking like a turtle's back, I just couldn't get this name out of my head! I would HAVE to add eyes to at least one block in this quilt!
