To make a Sashing row, sew the
background squares to the ends of sashing rectangle units... |

To make the Block row, sew
vertical sashing units between large squares... |

...and the quilt itself, is
constructed by sewing rows of Sashing Rows, interspersed with Block
Rows! |

To finish this off, you might
want to add a border row, that is made of fabric strips, sewn to
Flying Geese units, which finish off the outside star points! Shown
