This is the first block on the site to use Reverse Applique! I thought that a new technique necessitated a New How-To Page! ... So If you would, please go see The Applique Page!

****************************************

Start by cutting out out your pieces from the correct fabrics. Follow the directions below for order of placement :o)

On an 8-1/2"-9" square of  background fabric, lay out ALL the pieces centered on the square, so that you can arrange them where you like them best. Remove all but the stem unit, pin it in place, and applique it to the background, using thread to match the stem...

Next pin on the leaves and the inside part of the morning glory opening bud, and applique them in place. Remember to change thread color when you get to the bud...

Now add the back flower, changing thread to a color that matches it. Applique around the outer edge of the flower first, then applique the reverse inside seams... on to Page 2!
