**Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block**

Let's start by using a rotary cutter to cut your small strips into two 2- 5/8 " squares ...

Next, stack your 3-7/8" squares and cut them at the same time on the diagonal, using the rotary cutter, and being careful not to stretch the fabrics ...

Do the same with the 5-1/4" squares...
... and the 6-7/8"...

First, with right sides together, sew your 2-5/8" squares into a four patch, using all 1/4 " seams...

 Now we'll start adding our triangles in courses around the center four square block ...sew one of the smallest triangles...Color 2.... to the side of the 4 patch ... on to Page 2!
