This makes an 8" block and it's paper pieced!

This is an original pattern in tribute to the Maine Mi'kmaq. Please abide by the Terms and Conditions of use! :o)

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Mi'kmak Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat quarters should be plenty!

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Once all units have been paper pieced, join them as shown at left to complete your block!

Here on its side is a quilt made from 5 rows of six blocks each!

Happy Quilting!
