Fat Quarters are great for this!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try the London Roads! You will need to print out four copies of each of the units needed per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You will also need one 4-1/2" square of your background fabric!

Once you have your units paper pieced, join them together as shown at left, with the 4 1/2" background square of fabric as the block's center, using all 1/4" seams, and pressing them in alternating directions.....all done! :o)

The quilt is sixteen blocks set on point with spacer blocks, and extra arrows as a border !
