The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Kwanzaa Block! You will need to print out one copy of each template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters will be plenty!

After your units are paper pieced lay them all out as shown at left. Sew the top two units together. Sew the three candle units  together. Add the candleholder base strip to the bottom of that. Sew the two center package pieces together, then add the side units...and you are ALMOST done! Now join your three horizontal rows! 

No quilt to show, but this will go well with other Holiday themed blocks!
