** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block ** |

As you can see, this block is comprised of four smaller units. I will give instructions here for completing one quarter of the block. |

Begin by cutting your Color 1 3-1/2" x 14" strip into four 3-1/2" squares...this will be enough for an entire BLOCK of four squares... |

Next cut your Color 1 2" x 16" strips into sixteen 2" squares ...this will be enough for an entire BLOCK of four squares... |

Then cut your Color 2 2" x 16" strips into sixteen 2" squares...this will be enough for an entire BLOCK of four squares... |

Next cut your first calico 7" x 2" strip into two 2" x 3-1/2" rectangles... |

Cut your first calico 13" x 2" strip into two 2" x 6-1/2" rectangles ...on to Page 2! |
