This makes an 8" block and is paper pieced, or you can choose regular templates!

Click here for the PP templates!

or HERE for regular piecing templates!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a John's Pinwheel block! You will need to print out two copies of the PP template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat quarters should be plenty!

Once your paper piecing is complete, sew the four units together as shown at left and your block is done!

To give you a layout idea...here on it's side is a quilt made of twelve blocks with sashings and coping strips, and extra paper piecing units as borders. (corner post cutouts at the lower corners) This would be very small...you'll want to make more blocks!

Happy Quilting!
