This makes a 14" block and is paper pieced !

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Jack's Diamonds Block! You will need to print out two copies of  template pages A+B, and one of C per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Fat Quarters will be fine!

After all units are paper pieced, sew together the two center pinwheel units. Add diamond units to the sides. Sew together top and bottom rows; add those to the middle row, and the block is complete!
