This makes a 12" block and is paper pieced!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Fabric Boxes Block! You will need to print out four copies of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. Scraps or FQ's will be fine for this!

After your units are pieced (2 the same of eight different colors) join them as shown at far left to complete the block!

The quilt, shown here on its side, is four blocks by five, with a narrow border, then a pieced narrow border! It's a great scrap reducer, needing just two 4" squares of each color!

Happy Quilting!
