Fat Quarters will be fine!

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Double Stars & Diamonds Block! You will need to print out four copies of the template page per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. You also need one 2-1/2" center ( dk. yellow) square.

Paper piece all four units. Mark the narrow ends and the sides of the square 1/4" from the edges along the seam line.  Sew units to square within markings only. Backstitch at beginning and end of each seam. Now fold block right sides together on the diagonal and stitch from the inner point to the outer edge. Do this for every un sewn diagonal seam to complete the block!

Here are three blocks by four with sashing strips between the blocks and rows!

Happy Quilting All!
