Double Square - Page 2

Now piece the block, by first sewing the Color 1   1-1/2" x 6-1/2" strips to the sides of the center square unit. Add the Color 1  6-1/2" strips with half squares attached to the top and bottom of that. Now add the Color 2  8-1/2" strips to the sides, and then the Color 2  8-1/2" strips with half squares attached to the top and bottom. Lastly, add the Color 1  1-1/2" x 10-1/2" strips to the sides, and then the Color 1  10-1/2" strips with Color 2 squares attached to the top and bottom...and that's it!! :o)

This time, I decided we could use our blocks as a border around a central motif instead of as the whole quilt.  This would be an awesome couch throw, with a center square of Color 2 and a mitten wreath !  Hope you like it folks!!

Happy Quilting!

Marcia :o)
