This makes a 12" block, and is paper pieced! This block stems from the late 1800's, early 1900's, and is shown here in Civil War Repro fabrics :o)

The first thing that I would recommend that you do, is go to the Practice Paper Piecing Page.  When you feel comfy with paper piecing, come on back and try a Devil's Puzzle Variation Block! You will need to print out two copies of the template A and B pages per block you want to make on very lightweight paper. A Fat Quarter of each fabric will be plenty!

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

After your four units are paper pieced, join them as shown above!...and you are done!

This quilt is four blocks by five, with a 6" pinwheel border :o)

Happy Quilting!
