To make the first side, sew together two half squares, using a scant 1/4" seam, then add a Color 2 half square triangle to the right end. ( refer to the diagram at left for placement and direction!) To make the second side sew together two half squares facing the opposite way, and to the left end sew a half square triangle. To the right end add a pivoted half square...

 

Sew the short side to the right hand side of the Color 1 large triangle. Sew the longer side unit to the left side. Press seam allowances towards the outer sides, and that's it!! Good Job!!
