Blindman's Fancy - Page 2

Now we begin to piece the block's center unit, by sewing the two units we just made to two opposing sides of the Color 2  3-11/16" center square. Press seams towards the center square. Now add on the larger two pieced corner units, pressing seams towards the corner units...

Sew the shorter Color 2 rectangles to the left and right of the center unit, pressing seams towards the new strips. Then sew the longer strips to the top and bottom. Press those last seams towards the top and bottom strips...

Lastly, piece the block's small corner squares, and the half squares into top and bottom block rows as shown at left. Piece side units from half squares, also shown at left. Sew the side strips to the center unit, and then add the top and bottom rows...Done!

The quilt is three blocks by four, with a thin Color 2 border, a pieced half square border, and a thin Color 1 border!

Happy Quilting 'til Next Time Folks!
