** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

First cut the Color 1  1-1/2" x 6" strip into four 1-1/2" squares. Then cut the Color 1  3" x 11" strip into four 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" rectangles...

Next cut the Color 2  1-1/2" x 14" strip into four 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles. Next cut the Color 2  3" x 15" strip into four 1-1/2" x 7-1/2" rectangles...

Now cut seventeen Color 3  1-1/2" squares. This can actually be cut from one strip 1-1/2" x 25-1/2" {I show it differently here as that would be one WIDE graphic!}...

Sew the center nine patch, using five Color 3 small squares and four Color 1 small squares. Make seams using 1/4" seam allowances. Press fabrics in alternating directions by row...

Then sew a Color 3 small square to each end of TWO Color 2  1-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangles, TWO Color 2  1-1/2" x 7-1/2" rectangles, and TWO Color 1  1-1/2" x  5-1/2" rectangles...
