This makes a 9" or 12" block !  The pattern is written for 12" blocks. (9" strip sizes are in parenthesis)

** Preparing the Pieces and Sewing the Block **

Cut the Color 1  3-1/4" (2-3/4") square in half on both diagonals to make four quarter square triangles...

Cut the Color 1  5-1/4" (4-1/4") square in half on both diagonals to make four large quarter square triangles (You only need two for this block)...

Cut the Color 1  4-7/8" (3-7/8") square once on the diagonal to make two half square triangles ...

Cut the Color 1  2-1/2" x 17-1/2" (2" x 14") strip into seven 2-1/2" (2") squares...

Cut the Color 3  3-1/4" (2-3/4") square in half on both diagonals to make four quarter square triangles...

Then cut the Color 3  2-7/8" x 5-3/4" (2-3/8"x 4-3/4") strip in half once on the diagonal to make four half square triangles...

Now cut the Color 4  4-1/2" x 18" (3-1/2" x 14") strip into four 4-1/2" (3-1/2") squares...

Cut the Color 4  2-1/2" x 9" (2" x 7") strip  into two 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangles.(2" x 3-1/2")...

Cut the Color 4  5-1/4" (4-1/4") square in half on both diagonals to make four large quarter square triangles (You only need two for this block)...
