Mushrooms en Masse!

   ...AND ALL THOSE CAME JUST FROM MY LAWN-- and these are just pix of one instance of each type--there are many!!  It's insane!!

  To bring us back into SOME semblance of a quilt-site newsletter (Sheesh! Why start now?? LOL!) ...remember a while back I posted a link to a very easy square coaster pattern? Well this week I heard (from CyberQuilters) of the pattern for a round one as well., here  ...thought you might like to check that out! As  was done with the Square coaster, I think it would be a good idea to get some fusible web or heavy interfacing attached to one of the circles to give the round coaster a bit more body. Using that round one for wine glass stems was cute :o)

  I've been just dubbing around this past week, in fact I'd be hard pressed to come up with any real accomplishment! I did start reading a new series of books called  "The Cat Who..." (author Lilian Jackson Braun) There are over 2 dozen books in the series, so those will keep me out of trouble for a bit :o) Briefly, they are mysteries about a middle aged reporter and his Siamese cat Kao K'o-Kung, or KoKo, for short. I can't tell much more as it would give away valuable secrets <wink> Thanks go to my friend Leslie for telling me about these Cat Who books and  for sharing her book. I had just finished racing through Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books 1-14, and was feeling listless while waiting for her to hurry up and write the next one...LOL!

   Lyme wise...I am still hanging in there. I have great difficulty concentrating, or processing information at this point--well I get there but it takes a great deal of time, but I remain optimistic that I will get through this! My appointment with the next specialist in Mass. will be on the 25th of this month.YAY! There was an interesting article in the Martha's Vineyard Gazette this past week, Headline..."Uneasiness over Lyme Spreads"  I don't mean to nauseate y'all with this information, it's just that a very real likelihood exists that you, or someone you know will be affected by this epidemic, and the more you know, the better your chances of beating it, or helping someone else to. Early treatment is the key! Remember that I am keeping a Lyme information area on this website and the link to it is always at the bottom of this letter...stepping down off podium, for now :o)
